Dr. Brown

Dr. Brown was born into a family of orthodontists and raised in Birmingham, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate career at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and made stops in Massachusetts and Florida learning dentistry and orthodontics before settling in Washington. As the son of an orthodontist, watching his father and the joy his work brought to the lives of his patients left a lasting mark, and Dr. Brown is excited to continue that legacy. Dr. Brown has 3 simple rules: be efficient in his treatment, open in his communication and compassionate in his care.

Dr. Brown is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and Washington State Society of Orthodontists. Additionally, during his education, Dr. Brown was awarded the prestigious Dr. Alfred Osher Scholarship, which is given to students who exhibit the highest degree of personal and work ethics. In his years of practice, Dr. Brown maintains his commitment to continuing education; constantly taking courses to understand and implement new technologies and procedures that can be applied to better serve you.

He and his wife, Jen (the dentist next door!), are thrilled to call Washington home. While they have no children yet, they have a Siberian cat and a golden retriever that keep them on their toes. In his spare time, Dr. Brown loves to play tennis, basketball, fly fish, and cook.

Dr. Huang

Dr. Greg Huang was born in Taiwan, and moved to the United States at the age of two. He considers Plant City, Florida, as his hometown, and his parents still live in this suburb of Tampa. Dr. Huang went to dental school at the University of Florida, after which he attended the University of Washington for his orthodontic education. He then returned to practice orthodontics in Plant City for ten years. In 1999, Dr. Huang decided to pursue an academic career, and he accepted a faculty position in the UW Department of Orthodontics.

Over the years, Dr. Huang has been involved with numerous NIH-funded research projects, and he has published more than 50 scientific articles. He is well known as a proponent of evidence-based dentistry, and he recently co-edited an evidence-based orthodontics textbook. He has lectured nationally and internationally at many orthodontic meetings. Dr. Huang is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Angle Society, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He also serves on the editorial boards of several orthodontic journals, and is an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Since 2008, Dr. Huang has served as Chair of the Department of Orthodontics at the UW.

Dr. Huang lives in Bellevue with his wife Shu-Fen and his two children, Lucas and Meghan. He enjoys racquetball, hiking, piano, and photography.

Noel

Front Office Coordinator
I am one of the first people a patient meets when they walk in the front door, and it is my goal to make everyone feel welcome and excited for their visit with us. Our doctors have a tremendous amount of knowledge about orthodontics and have really created a talented, caring team that I am proud to be a part of.
When I am not in the office, I love to spend time with my family and husband. I love reading and watching movies to unwind.

Lauren

Clinical Specialist
I have been assisting here for more than twohree years and love working with such an amazing staff and enjoy meeting all our patients. I have always enjoyed orthodontics ever since I had braces myself; the energy was so contagious I knew at a young age that was what I wanted for a career. Helping improve people’s smiles is such an amazing journey!

Factoria Orthodontics gave me my first introduction to orthodontics and it could not have been better. I have been assisting for two years and love every second. I love to connect with our adults and children. This is the best experience I have ever had and I love all our patients who choose to be a part of it! In my spare time, I love to be with my husband, kids and huge family who all live locally!

Michelle

I've been an Orthodontic Assistant since 2003, and I absolutely love what I do. The best part of my job is the relationships I have been able to build with patients while they are in treatment. I love the idea of helping people gain confidence in their smile.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Tom, and have two daughters, Kennedi and Kamryn. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, camping, traveling and cheering on the Seahawks!

Julie

Schedule Coordinator
I love to interact with patients and make sure they’re comfortable with their orthodontic experience. I continue to learn something new every day and still strive to learn everything I can about orthodontics. In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with my family, and do arts and crafts with the kids.

Tayah

I have been apart of this team for almost a year now, and I absolutely love working with such a caring and hardworking staff. As a former patient myself, it's my goal to give every patient the same high quality care and kindness I received. I look forward to being apart of many more happy orthodontic journeys!
